Now that Beauty and the Geek is playing in Russia, there’s been a lot of confusion about the model Scarlet Garcia who was murdered back in 2008.
My partner is not dead.
If you don’t believe me, check out this blog post. The model’s name was actually “Scarlet Bouffard”, which probably looked a little awkward on her modeling resume since she was from the Philippines, so “Scarlet Garcia” was born and eventually killed. I’m pretty sure the name change wasn’t the reason she was murdered, but I could be wrong.
Regardless, my partner is still doing just fine out in L.A. and I wish her nothing but the best. Live in peace, Scarlet.
