Reasons to buckle your seatbelt, Part 2

Clicking the “8 photos” link on this one will show you pictures of the Explorer the day after my rollover. I still won’t judge if you decide not to look at this batch.

I’m not sure if there’s any commentary I can add to this batch—they pretty much speak for themselves.

  1. oh my… I guess if you have to roll over, this vehicle is a good protector.. glad you came out of this walking, etc etc…

  2. I have to admit, after reading the details of the experience, I was expecting a much more crushed-looking car! So glad that you were in one that still allowed enough headroom!

    1. I was expecting the same thing when we got to the tow yard, but part of the reason Mom bought a ’99 Explorer was because it was supposed to be a very safe vehicle. Turns out that was a pretty good decision on her part.

  3. Glad to hear you’re okay. Seatbelts are great (even my handbags are all made out of seatbelts). I don’t think I could have remained as calm. I was rear-ended a few years ago and I hit my face on the steering wheel. I swear I thought I was going to see blood all over my face… I was so afraid to look in the mirror. As it turns out I got a tiny bruise and a little bit of swelling, but in my moment of panic I couldn’t even find my emergency lights or even think for that matter.
